We recently cleaned this roof in Sarasota, FL. We were contacted by the owner of this property, requesting us to clean his roof, but this time he had done his research and had come across our company "Suncoast Roof Cleaning" and was determined to use our roof cleaning services. He explained that his roof was in need of cleaning, even though he had appointed a contractor four months ago to clean his roof, and now, four months later his roof was looking dirty again. His main concern was, how long will it stay clean? When we clean a roof, they remain visually clean for at least ONE YEAR, sometimes longer.
The image above, was taken before we started cleaning the roof, so you can see the condition we found the roof after ONLY four months, it was cleaned by another contractor, using High Pressure Cleaning application. The image below, was taken after we completed the roof cleaning service, where we used a process called Soft Wash / Softwash / No Pressure Cleaning / Chemical Wash,... it's known by different names, but it is a process used by professionals, where the cleaning is done, without creating any damage, usually created by the use of excessive High Pressure cleaning. The pressure we use in Soft Washing is the equivalent of the pressure coming out of a kitchen faucet and even less at times.
The images below, will show you once we professionally cleaned it, using our Soft Wash Process and also how dirty and damaged the roof was, after it was pressure washed only four (4) months ago and also the type of damage High Pressure cleaning causes to the tile glaze.
The picture above was taken after we Soft Washed the roof. As you can see, it had a lot of damage on the tile, where the High Pressure used in the past, had damaged the glaze of the tile. On the pictures below, you will see the Zoomed In pictures and get a closer look at the damaged glaze of the tile.
As you can see, the glaze of the tile has been damaged, to the point, where you can see the concrete of the tile. Once the concrete is exposed like that, discoloration, mold and algae regrowth, will be eminent in a shorter time. Our roof cleaning process and chemicals, will not only extend the lifespan of your roof, but also keep it clean for a longer period of time. Below you can se the amount of organic regrowth caused by the pressure cleaning of the roof that was cleaned four months prior by another contractor using High Pressure Cleaning process.

This customer was VERY satisfied with our performance and quality of work and the peace of mind, of having a clean roof wish will last.
We come across many different types of roofs that we are appointed to clean, the most common roofs are: tile roof, shingle roof and metal roof. Maintaining a clean roof has many benefits, curb appeal, lifespan, health and many others. A roof should be cleaned by a professional, someone that knows how to perform the service in a safely manner, without causing damage to the roof, as it is a very expensive product to replace and repair. The provider of ALL roof cleaning services should hold proper insurance coverage to protect the customer's property. Proper insurance coverage will protect the customer and address future concerns, such as roof leaks. Roof leaks are often caused by tiles being damaged which causes damage to the underlayment (asphalt membranes) exposing the wood. This will cause water leaks to the interior of the home. The other most common problem facing a property owner is, what if there is an accident and someone falls off the roof? Here is where a Workers Comp Policy is needed. We will keep educating our customers in the future in regards of the different types of problems that a property owner could face and should be aware of. Without knowledge a homeowner could jeopardize the integrity and ownership of their property, resulting in legal nightmares.
